WEATHER POLICY

  • In bad weather some session will go ahead and others will not. Therefore, we ask all players to assume that all session will go ahead and to bring suitable wear for the condition such as waterproof or warm clothes.
  • In the event that the Coach makes a decision that cancellation is neccessary before the lesson commences or before 30/45 minutes of the session ending (depending on the lesson being 60 or 90 minutes) – the entire session will be refunded.
  • When cancellations occur, you will be contacted by email or text using the contact details you have provided to the ClubSpark.  Please ensure that these details are correct and please confirm receipt of the cancellation of the lesson on each occasion. Coaches will contact everyone on mass and will not be able to deal with individual queries regarding weather conditions or cancellations.
  • Very rarely cancellations will happen last minute as weather could be very changeable. Please respect that our health and safety of all our players is our first responsibility.

We love to share the joy of tennis with others – It’s our mission! Therefore we use photos and videos of our players to promote our service in various formats and platforms.

It is our policy to presume consent to use photo and video unless you provide refusal of consent by email to: [email protected]

Our use of images and videos in line with the LTA policy ‘Photography and Recording’ which can be found here.

If anyone would like a photo or video removed from any of our platforms or media we use, please notify us and we will remove it as soon as possible.

Tennis 4 Barnes  creates a safe and fun environment for all our junior players.

To this end we believe all children and young people have the right to be taught in a safe, secure, respectful enviroment.

We have procedures in place to help and at risk children or one who appears to be a victim of abuse. In such instances we will offer support if a child tell us they that have been subject to such behavour.

We carry out background, reference and other due diligence checks to ensure that all our Coaches and volunteers are approved as per the LTA’s Criminal Record Bureau disclosure process.

We train all our people and inform them of LTA code of conduct for people working with children in tennis and it’s made a condition of their contract that they are obliged to follow it.

Tennis 4 Barnes follows LTA / Tennis Foundation Equality and Diversity Policy.

This is to ensure that our tennis coaching is available to all and all are respected regardless of age, gender, religion, sexual orientation or other recognised discrimatory measures.

We follow LTA’s safe and inclusive code of conduct:

  • Prioritise the well-being of all children and adults at all times
  • Be a positive role model. Act with integrity, even when no one is looking
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive environment both on and off court and promote the Fair Play values: enjoy; respect
  • Value and celebrate diversity and make all reasonable efforts to meet individual needs
  • Keep clear boundaries between your professional and personal life, including on social media
  • Check you have the relevant consent from parents/carers, children and adults before taking or using photos and videos
  • Ensure your own roles and responsibilities, and those of everyone you are responsible for, are clearly outlined and everyone has the information, training and support to carry them out
  • Where possible, do not be alone with a child or adult at risk
  • Do not abuse, neglect, harm or discriminate against anyone; or act in a way that may be interpreted as such*
  • Doing nothing is NOT an option: report all concerns and disclosures as soon as possible, following the Concern Reporting Procedure. If someone is in immediate danger, call the police (999).

*It is illegal to have a relationship with someone who is under 18 years old if you are in a position of trust; it is illegal to have a sexual relationship with anyone under the age of 16 whether they give consent or not.

The Code of Conduct should be interpreted in a spirit of integrity, transparency and common sense, with the best interests of children and adults at risk as the primary consideration.
